Snagit Mac Beta

Snagit Mac Beta.

I’ve used this on Windows and like it.  Mac doesn’t have a good screen capture and organize program yet, this is great and while in beta is free!

BOO!!!  The MacBook Pro started with a little fan noise.  Then today it sounded like it was about to take off.  Damnit.  The crappy things about the Mac is not necessarily the fan (although it’s less than a year old), but that you have to take it into the “genius bar” — Worst name ever.. but first get a reservation, which can be like waiting at the doctors office.  Sometimes it’s like two days ahead.  I got luck and got mine in.  But don’t miss the appointment, there is no recourse except to get to the back of the line.  The mall was having a fire drill when I was scheduled.  So they let me be on “standby”.  They are fixing the thing and will get it out same day, but seriously.  IF you want Macs to take over the business world, something needs to be done about service.

iPhone development

new_iphoneOk, so I am thinking about developing two apps, just to get into the swing of things again. For almost 6 months, I’ve looked for a battery meter. When you plug the phone in, you get a cool almost readable meter, when not, you get a tiny little icon, and I’m not that old, but seriously, how about a percentage. NOTHING has it. The other one was a Bio-rhythm app. I’ve found four, but they are pay for it apps.  I remember when my dad ran a computer in the 70′s, that took 30 minutes to boot, had one.   Seriouly we need to charge $.99 for something that old?    I’ll save my development power and my marketing efforts for when I write the next killer fart app.   Yes, you read that right.  $40K in two days.  I guess we’re all 14 year olds after all..  I should make a killing.
