Wine

September 12th, 2008 Randy No comments

We FINALLY got around to bottling wine.  We bottle up some Colorado syrah, CA Reisling, as well as CA Pinot Grigio.  It took us too long, but they came out pretty good.  I am wondering if the reds (now two years in glass carboys) will take good.  They almost tasted overoaked..

UPDATE:  We bottled EVERYTHING!!!  15 cases last night.  WOW.  They are all going to be good.  Most of the “overoaked” taste might have been something weird, cause they taste pretty good now.  We’ll see.   Wine anyone?

Temecula Wine Country

May 6th, 2008 Randy No comments

Took a day while in San Diego to go sample wine.  We hit about 5 wineries.  Was looking for a good Red Zin, didn’t actually find it.  It was a small community, felt like the vineyards on the West Slope in California.  Got a really good Riesling.  Check out the Temecula Wine Growers association.
