Torreys and Grays peaks.  14,267 and 14,270

Well, we made it.  And this time Starry didn’t fall down the mountain.   It was an awesome hike.    Ron and I started out a little late (7:00ish at the trailhead), and the road was a lot worse than I expected.  We ran into a bunch of people who couldn’t make the hill, then decided to walk to the actual trailhead.  Luckily Ron went back got the truck and we skipped almost 2 miles of pre-hiking.  It was nice, and we hit the trail with little clothes to take off later in the hike.   We couldn’t find the sign for Gray’s first (which at the top is so obvious) so we went to Torrey’s.  Ron was in killer shape and I knew I was holding him back.  Anyway we made Torrey’s, climbed back down the saddle, then went up Gray’s, then back down.  Not very often can you get a two for one 14′er hike.  It was VERY pretty up there, and couldn’t have asked for a better day.  Great day out…

Mountain climbing will be cool.  Starry and I are going with a co-worker.  Looks like an easy one, but will have another two under my belt for 14′ers!.

So bad, that I made her a graphic.   The neighbor fed her something besides her regular food…

Yes people, they are charging this year.  It must be in the long line of people out to GOUGE us lately.  What’s with this.  It’s been FREE for years.  An now they have nothing new, but exclusive chalet line (LAME) and they are charging $15.  I’m going to watch from the road, or from my house.  Done paying for things that should be free.  GREED SUCKS.

Sadie and I had a terrible experience at Bonefish this evening.    She wanted a salad at a brew pub, and I convinced her to got to Bonefish (there was no wait) and then all we did was sit and wait.  We waited for our drinks, we waited for our bread, we waited to order, we waited to get dinner, then waited for dessert and waited for the check.  YUCK.  We also found a hair in the dessert (GROSS), and the kid next to us had undercooked chicken.  The waitress threw the check at us when we raised the hair issue.  Manager came over, and took care of us, we just wanted to leave, it took FOREVER to get out of there.  They did right by us in the end by comping things, but we’re still leery.  We’ll be back though, it is opur favorite restaurant, they get one pass…

Sadie gave away 4 out of my 6 homemade peach jams.  I’m nervous guy about consumables.  (They all went to deserving friends)

So I just brought up and ESXi server. It’s a real slick product, plus I have to get up to speed on those things now that I’m the server manager again.
