Went to the British Museum.  Very cool stuff in there, you need almost a whole day, maybe more to see all the stuff.   They have more egyptian stuff then Egypt I think.  You name it, it’s there.  I mean they even have the Rosetta Stone!  A friend mentioned that it’s cool seeing all the stuff the Brits swiped over the years.  They have temple doors, and rooms full of marble reliefs.  Nice.  We checked out a paid exhibit Babylon.  Cool, but short.  Did I mention that all of the museum’s over there are free?  Well worth it.

London

Had to go to London.  Two day notice.  Stayed at Paddington Hilton, which was totally convenient for me.  Was actually a tourist this time.  Went to the British Museum and the Tate Modern.  Had wonderful Indian Food.  Went to Khan’s again, then to a place where a Indian native said was the most authentic since he was in country.  Cool.  Trip was a little tough for work.  I had to go, because the company was gettign bad service from us.   After I smoothed things out, they deleted a disk out from under one of their important apps.  Holy Jesus!  Took care of that then got to go home.  Quick week out in the UK.

Put our remaindered wood from our deck on craigslist for someone to come pickup for free.  It was gone within 3 hours.  Cool.

Hot tub sold!

January 17th, 2009 Randy No comments

So I sold the hot tub the next day. I called the dude back and he came over for the full price ($500) minus gas money. (i’ve never heard that one before). He called a couple of friends, and we took part of the fence out and we loaded it up. Took about 3 hours. So it’s sold.

Stinky composter

At first, the composter was smelling like yeasty bread, then it started to turn into something more stinky.  It also makes thumping noises, for the smell it needs to be in the gararge, but the noises make me hear weird things at night since we sleep above the garage.

it’s up on Craiglist.  We love it, but just don’t use it enough to justify the energy bills.  :-(

New roof

January 14th, 2009 Randy No comments

So the insurance dude came out, it looks like out 60 MPH wind rated shingles got tore up a bit.  The two roofs we have already did not make it in the wind storm, so we are getting a new roof.

Banjo Kazooie

Got this game (AGAIN) for Xbox360.   I have it for the N64 still.   It’s a bunch of fun for a platformer.   I had to pay for it again, but It was worth it.    It’s a really wierd concept, with a bear and bird in a backpack, but trust me, get it.  Sadie used to study for college when I originally played this, so maybe she’ll remember Forestry stuff while I play…
