Spent the day at Waterworld. Very cool water park in my hometown. It was actually cheaper for me and Sadie to go then for one ticket for her sister. Favorite ride was the toilet bowl (not it’s actual name). Single tube that spits you into a globe that you spin around in, until it plops you out the bottom. Also did a bunch of group ones. Had fun with Sadie and her sister. Missed a spot in suncreen.. ouch. Had fun..
Puppy got stung by a yellowjacket last night. She shook and was really bummed out. She was fine that night (not shaking) but then after we inpected the bump, she started shaking again. It probably hurts her. Looking things up online they said one sting would be okay and to administer 1 mg bendryl per pound to reduce swelling. Poor P.

Well me and Starr kicked butt up the mountain, Starr moreso than I. We both got some scrapes though. I was hopping across some marsh onto a rock when it tipped up and smashed me in the ankle, which bled and swelled up, then was throbbing every step above 13,000 feet. Starry chased a rock then lost her footing and flipped end over end down the mountain. It was horrible to watch, she’s okay besides being a little shook up. Poor dog. The summit was pretty cool. All of us besides one made it up to the summit. Was a heck of a 4X4 road getting into the trailhead. Had to get up at 2:30 AM to do the one day up and back. I did better than I thought having very little training up to the day again, eventually my body will quit doing that for me.

Is our hike to Mt La Plata with the company. I have a hurt ankle, I hope I’m not asking for trouble. Taking P-Dog with me. Should be interesting…

Went horseback riding with Sadie and her sister. Was in the Rocky Mountains. Very pretty scenery, and it was a gorgeous day.

That we had a Nintendo Wii Fit? It’s actually pretty cool. We’ve been using it pretty religiously over the past 2 months or so. It’s a good BMI tracker (not the best measure) and keep you kinda motivated. The yoga stuff is cool. Couple of bitches though: We need to be able to string together exercises. The 2 min of exercises, then click, click, click to get to the next one….lame. Put out more of these types of things. Of all the products out there, this one actually does something good. Keep producing.. Nothing on the horizon for exercise for a year. This should sum it up, Sadie uses it! She’s not into video games at all!

So I have been bummed at something that I have done as well as probably a bunch of people. I throw away computer cords. At work, at home. I recently put a stop to throwing these away at work. We must recycle them. I am thinking of purchasing a wire stripper. There are TONS of things I don’t know how to do like:
- What can be done about the insulation stripped? I’ve seen sites claim that they can be recycled, but how?
- Are the wires from the telecom and computer industry viable to sell? I’ve seen scrap yards say they only accept 12 guage or bigger. Hmmm..
- Am I going to make ANY money at this?
- Is this going to be a business or am I just going to make a small difference in the world (still noble, but small)
- Are there any regulations for me doing this?
Either way, I think I’ll start small and keep looking at how I am going to do this. More to come…

Had a great 4th and anniversary with Sadie. Went to Original Pancake House for breakfast, then went and saw Wanted. Great movie. Lots of action, couple of twists. Bonefish had Alaskan King Salmon on cedar plank. It ruled! Then we took P-dog out in Open Space to watch the fireworks, we were the only ones out there, it was about 1/2 mile away. Great way to end the day…

So got this Wii game yesterday. Raving Rabbids is a funny concept, I like the mini games, and Wii remotes are an absolute must, I just can’t see this on the 360. I found myself totally mesmerized on the bunny dancing games as well as the rail shooters. FUN!! Totally worth $20.
For MINI5280.org for their newsletter. They wanted a perspective from a new member. So I got creative and wrote my ass off.
