Ouray Trip Mileage
WOW, we put almost 1000 miles on the MINI this weekend. The trip was really 882, but we took some side runs (like getting doggie and a run to Burger Boy Drive in). It was worth it . I love my CAR!!!

I’ve been making some damn good martini’s lately. Lemon Drop Martini’s and tonight a Pomegranate Martini. Sweet!! Basic recipe looks like this:
Throw that into a martini shaker, and heaven.. I’m having one right now…
Sadie threatened that she would get a MINI if it came in pink. Well, I found one. Check it out! Time to get out the checkbook.
So I was watching Starr eat (she’s so excited we’re home and she’s eating, we have to watch her so she’ll eat sometimes) and I saw her bobbing for food in her water dish. Odd dog. Funny though.
Just caught this again on G4. G4 rocks!!! Here’s the official site. Wonderful story for all of us GenX geeks that used to live in arcades. Bugging mom for quarters and then in horror when we saw .50 machines walking in the door. Well, I’m a bit nostagic and have a MAME machine and do think I could kick these guys butts. I may have to set my own. I’ll have to get the DVD…

I am going to be in Vegas, but Sadie is going
Flying a kite is cool, when it’s too damn windy, it’s time to go. Mine is like this:

I got it locally, but here’s a link to one at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Bi-Plane-Kite/dp/B0007A2IU8
Jeffco had it’s annual Flyin. Got totally sunburned. This year they did the F-18 and F-16 demo’s. The F-16 was awesome becuase they flew together with a P-51.

It represented 60 years of aviation. VERY COOL. I had my bike and saw other cool planes like the MIG-17 I HAD FLOWN BEFORE! Saw a B-17, a B-25 (one of the ones that actaully flew off the deck in the Doolittle raid), and some aerobatics planes. It’s small, but always delivers, they had a TON of people this year. I just love the F-18 ripping the sky in half…
Denver Post also covered this.
So I am a bit of a GPS geek, and now ordered one specifically for the car. I have a Garmin 60CX, it’s great for geocaches and for turn by turn, and has lots of waypoints and does REALLY good job, but it did lack home addresses reliably. We tested a couple of street address and the 60CX couldn’t find them. Bummer. So it’s a Nuvi 200W. VERY COOL. It should get here sometime next week. More to follow..
